**Department Overview:**
Research Services is a core professional department that bolsters Oxford’s research, engagement, and innovation community. We aim to deliver top-notch professional support and strategic insights, working closely with University leaders and divisions.

The Trusted Research team, part of the Research Funding and Contracts team within Research Services, is a small, collaborative group responsible for managing casework and compliance, as well as establishing policies in research security.

**Job Summary:**
The newly created role of International Collaboration Specialist within the Trusted Research team plays a crucial part in facilitating the University’s international research collaborations in a fast-evolving landscape.

**Role Responsibilities:**
In the position of International Collaboration Specialist, you will work directly with researchers to identify risks related to the trusted research agenda, including due diligence, export control, and the National Security and Investment Act. You will advise and support researchers, collaborating with professional service colleagues as needed.

You will enhance internal awareness of trusted research issues, providing training to research staff through sessions, communities of practice, expert networks, and surgeries. Moreover, you will engage in external networks and project groups, such as the Higher Education Export Control Association, using your expertise to brief senior University members and contribute to national consultations.

**Candidate Profile:**
To thrive in this diverse and engaging role, you must be confident with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact diplomatically with individuals at all levels. You should be adept at processing complex information to develop clear, pragmatic advice and comfortable working both independently and in a team.
