The Royal Agricultural University’s (RAU) international footprint is both significant and expanding. We boast strategic international partnerships in countries such as China, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and the United Arab Emirates, which enhance our joint activities in teaching, learning, research, and staff and student exchanges. Our strategic priorities for 2024/25 focus on increasing the number of international and transnational education students, enriching the international student experience, and advancing our international research collaborations.
**Position Overview**
We are seeking an International and Partnerships Manager who will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and executing our international activities at a strategic level. This position involves managing, coordinating, and facilitating a comprehensive portfolio of international initiatives across the University. Key responsibilities include drafting partnership agreements, serving as an internal resource for partnership and international activity information, and leading significant initiatives such as the creation of a ‘Strategic Partnerships Committee’ and the development of an ‘International Network.’ The role is essential for ensuring a holistic approach to RAU’s international engagements.
The International and Partnerships Manager will collaborate with a diverse range of external stakeholders, both within the UK and internationally, from strategic partners to visiting guests hosted by the University. Essential to the role is the ability to collate, analyze, and manage data; establish efficient systems and processes; and ensure the effective delivery of our international endeavors.
This role may involve international travel.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
– Degree-level education or equivalent qualification
– Project Management qualification and/or significant experience
– Experience within international education and/or research environments, particularly with partners in China or experience in China
– Proven decision-making skills at an operational level, demonstrating the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
– Demonstrated experience in driving business improvements and efficiencies to ensure quality, engagement, and sustainable service delivery
– Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
