**Position Overview:**
The International Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh plays a crucial role in managing international student admissions and enhancing the university’s global recruitment strategy. Responsibilities include overseeing the application process, making admissions decisions in line with university policies, and communicating with candidates. The Coordinator ensures compliance with immigration laws, manages application documentation, and uses data-driven approaches to optimize recruitment and operational processes. **Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Strategic Planning and Development**
– Develop and implement international student recruitment strategies in collaboration with admissions leadership to boost diversity and enhance international enrollment.
– Partner with divisional leaders to set international enrollment targets.

2. **Compliance and Documentation**
– Act as Designated School Official (DSO) and Responsible Officer (RO), ensuring adherence to regulations by the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
– Handle the issuance of initial and transfer immigration documents for new international students.

3. **Admissions and Processing**
– Evaluate and process international student applications while ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
– Verify the authenticity of foreign educational credentials and provide guidance on reviewing academic records.
– Make admissions decisions based on established criteria, ensuring evaluations are timely and fair.
– Promptly communicate admissions decisions to applicants and provide guidance on subsequent steps.

4. **Recruitment and Relationship Management**
– Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, ESL programs, and other stakeholders to enhance UWO’s presence in global markets.
– Represent UWO at international recruitment events to foster relationships and increase the applicant pool.

5. **Primary Contact for International Students**
– Act as the main contact for both prospective and admitted international students, supporting them through the application and enrollment process, including visa and documentation assistance.
– Offer clear communication regarding application statuses and enrollment procedures.

6. **Technology and Data Management**
– Utilize technology such as Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems to enhance admissions processes and operational efficiency.
– Implement data-driven strategies to expand recruitment markets and expedite application processing.

7. **Scholarships and Funding**
– Oversee the awarding process of the Titan Global Scholars international student scholarship, ensuring proper review and disbursement.

8. **Professional Development**
– Engage in ongoing career development to stay updated on trends in international admissions and recruitment.

9. **Campus Involvement**
– Participate in campus committees focusing on international recruitment and student success initiatives.

**Conditions:**
– The role requires a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
– International and domestic travel is expected.
– A valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive a university vehicle are required at the start of the appointment.
– Ability to obtain necessary travel documents for international and domestic travel is required.
– Some remote work is possible with supervisor approval, but on-campus presence is required.

**Qualifications:**
**Required:**
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international education, communication, business, marketing, or sales.
– Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a university vehicle.
– Legal authorization to work in the United States. UW Oshkosh does not sponsor work visas for this role.
– Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

**Preferred:**
– Master’s degree in a related field.
– Three years of experience in international education, admissions, or student recruitment.
– Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and other admissions processing tools.
– Familiarity with foreign credential evaluation.
– Experience with PeopleSoft and Perceptive Content systems.
