Position Summary:
The Office of International Admissions, within the Enrollment Management division, is seeking applicants for the position of International Admissions Advisor. This position involves assisting aspiring college students throughout the college admissions process at the University at Buffalo, from their initial contact to enrollment. Reporting to the Sr. Associate Director of International Admissions and Enrollment, the International Admissions Advisor will play a crucial role in recruiting and assisting international students for the University.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree.
– Minimum of two years of experience in a college admission setting or working with K-12 students.
– Experience with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office suite applications.
– U.S. citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s degree.
– Experience in higher education.
– Direct experience in international admissions.
– Knowledge of Data Information Systems, such as Slate, Sunapsis, SEVIS, and other systems.
– Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and technology competence.

Key Duties:
– Advise prospective students and their families regarding UB application requirements, academic programs, and admission policies.
– Conduct in-person and virtual admissions presentations, events, and receptions.
– Assist with all phases of the application process and decision making.
– Verify and evaluate academic credentials, financial documents, and immigration documents.
– Create and maintain records, enter data, and validate data in multiple databases/systems.
– Monitor and complete files for completeness.
– Transmit information to students, counselors, university administrators, and academic units.
– Implement in-house training and growth programs for professional development.

Salary Range: $58,000 – $61,500.
