Job Description:

The role is based in the Future Students, Communication, and Marketing service within the International Recruitment and Admissions department. As an Admissions Officer, you will have the responsibility of reviewing international applications and making offer decisions for a portfolio of courses. This role is crucial in ensuring that the right applicants are enrolled in the right courses, as it directly impacts the success of Future Students’ activities in a competitive marketplace. It requires knowledge of the courses and the ability to process decisions in a timely manner.

In addition to reviewing applications, you will also be involved in Occupational Health checks, Confirmation of Acceptances for Studies checks, and representing the university at events like Open Days and UCAS Fairs. You will also serve as a link between various professional services.

We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing the applicant experience. Proactive organizational skills are also essential for this role. We offer training opportunities for professional and personal development, and previous post holders have used the knowledge gained in this role to progress within Future Students or the wider UWE community.

This role is based at the Frenchay campus, which provides access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources for both staff and students.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 37 hours per week. Job sharing is not available for this role. Remote working may be possible. Salary offers will be made in accordance with the University’s guidelines and based on relevant skills and experience. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role under the Home Office Skilled Worker visa route.
