Job Details:
Radford University is seeking an International Admission and Recruitment Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the Chief Global Officer & Assistant Provost for Global Education and Engagement, the Coordinator will be responsible for serving as the main point of contact for potential international students interested in studying at Radford University. The coordinator will also work on developing partnerships and programs internationally and contribute to the execution of the recruitment strategy for the McGlothlin Center for International Education.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

– Developing and implementing strategies to meet the university’s international recruitment goals.
– Conducting recruitment efforts in assigned territories to achieve enrollment objectives.
– Identifying and following up with prospective international students.
– Providing guidance and support to international students throughout the enrollment process.
– Compiling reports on international student enrollment figures.
– Managing the recruitment agent network in collaboration with the Assistant Provost.
– Cultivating relationships with partners and educational professionals working with international students.
– Staying up-to-date on factors affecting international recruitment and participating in relevant conferences.
– Analyzing data to optimize resource utilization.
– Evaluating academic credentials for admissions decisions.
– Corresponding with admitted students and providing follow-up support.
– Assisting with the development and maintenance of international student admission requirements.
– Participating in university committees related to international student issues.
– Contributing to new student orientation and programming.

Education/Experience:

– An advanced degree is preferred, but a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience will be considered.
– At least one year of experience in a higher education setting, preferably in an international or domestic admission office.
– Strong knowledge of cross-cultural adjustment.
– Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Familiarity with online and web-based recruitment techniques.
– Ability to travel internationally.

Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in international education, experience working with educational agents, knowledge of foreign educational models, proficiency in a foreign language, experience living, working or studying abroad, and proficiency in various software programs.
