What is the Role About?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract as the Head of Student Recruitment and International Relations. In this role, you will lead Trinity Laban’s efforts to attract outstanding creative artists from around the world to join our vibrant community.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and execute student recruitment activities for the academic year 2025/2026 and into the following year. You will play a critical role in ensuring that recruitment targets are met for our wide range of higher education programmes in music, musical theatre, and dance.
Key aspects of the position include:
- Recruitment Coordination: Managing activities in the UK and international markets, attending conferences and educational events, leading presentations and seminars, and overseeing the agent network.
- Partnership Development: Building and nurturing collaborations with schools, universities, conservatoires, and other institutions globally, with a particular focus on developing planned Transnational Education (TNE) partnerships in China.
- Collaboration & Strategy Development: Working closely with academic staff and other stakeholders across Trinity Laban’s diverse and passionate community to implement innovative recruitment strategies.
- Market Engagement: Representing Trinity Laban’s unique offerings on the global stage and positioning our institution as a top destination for aspiring performing artists.
The role will primarily operate out of our stunning campus locations, including the historic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and the award-winning Laban Building, offering a dynamic and inspiring workplace.
Who Should Apply?

- Holds a degree-level qualification.
- Has experience in a similar role, ideally within higher education or in arts-related recruitment.
- Is knowledgeable about international recruitment practices, including partnership working.
- Has a track record of building strong relationships across diverse markets.
- Brings expertise and insight into music, dance, and/or performing arts education (optional but desirable).
- Possesses excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
