An opening for the position of Inclusive Support Assistant is available at the Business Support Team in Student Services. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dependable individual with excellent interpersonal and IT skills who has the passion to add value to the student experience.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities include delivering an effective, customer-centered, and professional front-line service to help the Mental Health, Wellbeing, Counselling, Inclusive Support, Student Support, and Chaplaincy Teams’ daily operations.

A capable candidate who can efficiently operate in a fast-paced setting and handle phone, email, and in-person inquiries is essential. The post holder shall prioritize providing quality customer service, responding promptly to evolving demands and ensuring that students receive adequate assistance according to their needs.

 The successful candidate strives to go above and beyond in delivering customer service and collaborates within an integrated administration service, fostering multi-disciplinary team efforts. We only welcome those who are proactive, flexible, exhibit attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills. The successful post-holder will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to manage diaries, setup meetings, case conferences, other ad-hoc groups, and minute meetings.

An Inclusive Support Assistant shall be skillful in Microsoft Office and have the experience of organizing, inputting, and extracting data from complicated computerized systems. Possession of a variety of GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning, is an essential requirement for the role.

The capable candidate will likewise be flexible enough to adapt to changing business needs, including but not limited to providing support to all aspects of student wellbeing, Open/Applicant Days, Welcome/Induction, student recruitment activities, and student communications.

Applicants must fulfill all essential criteria on the person specification to merit further consideration. This position is based in Preston. Ideally, the post holder shall work four days each week, with Friday included. The working arrangement for Monday up to Thursday is negotiable. Blended working shall be considered after completing a three-month initial training period.
