Location: Milton Keynes

We are open to flexible working patterns for this role. It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted, allowing the successful candidate to work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office, some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs.

The role

We are recruiting an Immigration Manager to be based in People Services, who will take ownership of the university’s immigration policies and procedures. The Immigration Manager will ensure that the university complies with UKVI immigration rules to meet internal and external audit requirements.

As an Immigration Manager, you will lead a small team of dedicated Immigration professionals. You will provide accurate advice on immigration policies and UKVI guidance across the university, with extensive knowledge of the variety of visas available. This will involve training and updating staff on changes to procedures and UKVI rules, as well as ensuring that Right to Work checks are compliant with government legislation.

Skills and experience

This role is suitable for you if you:

– Have extensive technical immigration experience with a strong understanding and proven record in Right to Work and Visa application management.
– Are a confident and experienced manager, capable of leading and inspiring a team on a daily basis.
– Have strong communication skills and can deliver training and workshops to various audiences.
