We are currently seeking a full-time leader for our Student Mobility and Exchange team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the university’s international student mobility agenda. The base salary for this role starts at $135,825 with additional benefits.

As the Head of Student Mobility and Exchange, you will play a crucial role in providing policy advice to the Associate Director of Global Mobility, supporting the university’s internationalization efforts. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies to strengthen student recruitment for outbound exchange and short-term mobility programs. Additionally, you will work closely with the Associate Director to establish and nurture exchange relationships with leading international institutions.

Key responsibilities:
– Contribute to the university’s international student mobility agenda through advice, recommendations, and innovative ideas
– Research, write, and review strategic mobility reports and annual reviews in collaboration with the Associate Director
– Manage the team responsible for outbound student mobility at the university
– Represent the university at international events, conferences, and school/university visits
– Identify and analyze market opportunities in the international education sector
– Develop communication strategies to ensure awareness of relevant legislation across the university
– Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including university leadership, faculty staff, partners, scholarship providers, and education institutions

Requirements:
– Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
– Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, manage, and coordinate policy advice in a regulated and dynamic environment
– Experience in team leadership and cultivating a positive team culture
– Excellent planning, organizational, and negotiation skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders
– Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, with the ability to influence stakeholders within a business context
– Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Higher Education environment and internationalization activities, with a broad understanding of global education systems
– Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for conferences and events
