The Role

As Head of Student Services, you will be entrusted with a pivotal leadership role, fostering student support strategies and enhancing engagement and retention on an international scale. Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide a team towards implementing adaptable student support programs and crafting initiatives that champion global student success and well-being. Your strategic, data-driven approach will be key in shaping global student engagement strategies while building robust relationships with international students, faculty, and industry mentors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a diverse Student Services team, geared towards supporting a global student body.
  • Design and implement scalable workflows that adapt to the needs of international students, enhancing operational efficiency across different regions.
  • Develop and execute global student engagement and retention strategies to bolster satisfaction and success across cultures and countries.
  • Oversee international student lifecycle programs, ensuring a seamless journey from initial engagement through to career readiness.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize support services worldwide, identifying opportunities for cross-cultural improvements.
  • Foster strong international relationships with stakeholders, including industry mentors and academic teams.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards and best practices in student support.
  • Represent Student Services in varied cultural settings, participating in executive meetings, institutional committees, and international advisory boards.

The Successful Candidate

  • Demonstrated experience in student services leadership, particularly within an online education platform catering to international students.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on international process improvements.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement engagement and retention strategies across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Data-driven approach to understanding the varied needs of international students and evaluating program success.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, with a cross-cultural focus.
  • Background in student counselling, academic advising, or global communication.
