### About the Role

The University of Leicester invites applications for a strategic and experienced leader to head our International Student Recruitment team. In this pivotal role, you will shape and execute the University’s global recruitment strategy across various programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate taught, postgraduate research, distance learning, and pathway initiatives. Your primary goal will be to develop data-driven, market-specific plans to achieve international recruitment targets and maintain a diverse, high-quality student body.

Reporting to the Director of the Future Students Office, you will manage a team of over 20 professionals based in the UK and globally. Your team will be responsible for building recruitment pipelines, managing international relationships, and enhancing our global brand engagement. You will oversee an international recruitment budget exceeding £500k and collaborate closely with colleagues in marketing, admissions, and the broader University to ensure alignment with our 10-year internationalisation strategy launched in 2023.

This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to the University’s global standing by driving innovative recruitment and market engagement strategies.

### About You

We seek an individual with substantial experience in international student recruitment, preferably within the higher education sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving targets across multiple international markets and hold a degree or equivalent qualification. Detailed knowledge of global student recruitment markets, especially in key areas such as India and China, is essential.

As a strong leader, you will be adept at motivating and managing a dispersed team. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills are a must, enabling you to build and sustain relationships with international partners and key stakeholders. You should possess a data-driven mindset, an ability to translate complex demographic information into actionable strategies, and a thorough understanding of UKVI compliance metrics.

If you are passionate about international education, skilled in strategic leadership, and eager to drive growth in a competitive global environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at the University of Leicester.
