Job Description: Global Student & Partnership Centre Officer
Liverpool Hope University is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Global Student & Partnership Centre Officer to join their team at the Global Student & Partnership Centre. The Centre plays a vital role in the university’s international initiatives, which include orientation programs, managing outgoing student exchanges, supporting semester abroad students, and providing initial assistance to international students.
As a Global Student & Partnership Centre Officer, your responsibilities will include organizing short programs, coordinating international student events, and addressing queries from international students. You will engage directly with students, providing face-to-face support, and occasionally you may be called upon to represent the university overseas. As a full member of the Centre, you will manage specific areas of activity under the guidance of the Dean of Global Engagement or the Centre’s Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizing and coordinating short programs and events for international students.
- Addressing and resolving queries from international students.
- Representing the Global Student & Partnership Centre in welcoming international students and visitors.
- Working collaboratively with the team to enhance the university’s international initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous international experience or experience working with international students/customers.
- Familiarity with the process and steps for international students to study in the UK.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to empathize and engage with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in study, volunteering, work, or travel overseas, either in person or virtually.
- Capability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and demonstrate personal initiative and judgment.
- Knowledge of student support activities.
