Job Title: Global Student Assistant
Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week), permanent, Monday to Friday
Role Purpose: The Global Student Assistant provides support and advice to international students and assists the Visa Advice and Compliance team within the Global Student Office. The role involves administrative support in the area of student visa compliance and focuses on supporting students participating in the University’s Student Mobility programme.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
– Provide first level advice and support to students and staff regarding international student advice, visa compliance, and the Student Mobility programme.
– Work with the Student Visas Compliance Manager and the team to ensure compliance with UKVI regulations.
– Provide specialized advice and administrative support in areas such as the Student Mobility programme, student funding, international student advice, and visa compliance.
– Process students’ Campus Transfer requests and coordinate with academic staff and counterparts at overseas campuses.

Education, Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
– SCQF Level 6 (Highers) education or equivalent experience.
– Previous experience in a similar environment.
– Proficiency in relevant IT packages.
– Strong interpersonal skills.
– Proactive and professional approach.
– Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and pressured environment.
– Excellent customer service skills.
Desirable:
– Further or Higher Education qualification.
– Administrative experience in higher education.
– Experience working with relational databases.
– Marketing and promotional experience.
