SOAS University of London is a leading institution in Europe for the study of Asia, Africa, and the Near and Middle East. The university is also working towards a new model of international partnerships that addresses the transnational nature of global challenges.

The Global Partnerships department at SOAS supports the implementation of the university’s global partnerships strategy. The team, which reports to the Director, is responsible for developing equitable partnerships with institutions in the Global South. These partnerships aim to enhance teaching, research, and the overall academic experience for students through collaboration with overseas institutions.

The role in the Global Partnerships department is crucial in supporting strategic academic collaborations with global partners. The role entails managing existing partnerships and developing new ones. The postholder will work closely with academic colleagues to ensure collaboration opportunities and joint provisions with international partners are fully supported at both the departmental and institutional levels. Additionally, close relationships with key Professional Services areas will be established to ensure consistency in curriculum development and quality assurance between SOAS and potential overseas partners. Some travel may be required for this role.
