About the Department
The Communications, Marketing and Recruitment (CMR) department at Goldsmiths is responsible for international recruitment. The department plays a crucial role in promoting Goldsmiths to its target audiences.
The CMR directorate oversees various areas including internal communications, media relations, strategic communications, branding and design, digital presence (website, video, and social media), marketing, business partnerships, and recruitment both in the UK and internationally.
Our goal is to provide support to academic departments and professional service teams by understanding their needs and priorities while ensuring an exceptional experience for students, colleagues, and external audiences.
About the role
This role is part of the Goldsmiths International Recruitment and Global Opportunities Team. The main responsibilities include coordinating Goldsmiths’ involvement in the Turing Scheme and developing international opportunities for students at the college. The team consists of the Global Opportunities Officer, Global Opportunities Manager, and Global Opportunities Coordinator. Additionally, several Student Ambassadors provide ad hoc assistance.
About the candidate
The Global Recruitment Officer is responsible for implementing recruitment strategies globally. The successful candidate must fulfill the essential criteria stated in the job description, as they are the minimum requirements for the role. The desirable criteria are qualities that would enhance the candidate’s effectiveness in the position.
The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background or relevant experience in Higher Education, possess administrative proficiency, have experience in international programs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
