Salary Range: USD $56,000.00 to $68,000.00

School for International Training (SIT) is searching for a Global Operations Manager to support the day-to-day management of SIT programs primarily in the Asia Pacific region. As a Global Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient and compliant program implementation, overseeing program operations, and contributing to strategic growth and re-organization. The successful candidate will have experience living and working in the region, a strong interest in regional affairs, and a background in managing study abroad programs. The Global Operations Manager will lead administrative meetings, participate in staff training, travel periodically, and work on organization-wide projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC GROWTH AND REORGANIZATION
– Lead efforts to open new sites and liaise with potential partners and funders to support SIT’s growth in Europe and MENA
– Analyze operations in the region and create new structures and processes to meet growing program centers’ needs
STAFF AND FACULTY: PAYROLL AND OTHER PROCESSES
– Develop local staff hire processes in consultation with Human Resources
– Lead hiring processes for new local employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with internal processes
– Ensure compliant payroll processes for newly hired employees
– Maintain records of locally hired employees and oversee employee leave records
– Contribute to employee benefits, job satisfaction, and other projects
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
– Submit compulsory activity reports to government agencies
– Work with the General Counsel’s Office to create and close legal entities in the region
– Ensure timely year-end financial reporting and up-to-date agreements with accounting firms
BUSINESS AFFAIRS
– Manage negotiations, execution, and tracking of agreements for high-value goods and services
– Support programs in day-to-day financial management
– Oversee the annual budget submission process and provide regional level approval
– Complete Know Your Client documentation for banks and institutions
– Manage processes related to bank accounts, including opening, closing, and changing accounts
– Review and approve lease renewals and ensure proper collection and filing of leases
STUDENT HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELL-BEING
– Serve as a member of the crisis response team
– Conduct site reviews according to established processes
COLLABORATIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND PROBLEM SOLVING
– Lead and participate in operations team projects, such as staff and faculty training workshops, institutional business practice changes, and program-specific research and reporting
REQUIREMENTS
– Master’s degree in international education or a related field preferred, or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in study abroad
– Interest in and knowledge of current affairs in the region
– Minimum 3 years of experience in study abroad administration or related operational support units
– Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively
– Cross-cultural competence
– Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
– Fluent in English and a language commonly spoken in the region
