Job Description
About Us:
At King’s, we are committed to serving society. Our Strategic Vision 2029 outlines our priorities for the future, including education, research, community service, being a civic university in London, and fostering an international community. Our Education Strategy guides our efforts to transform teaching, student learning, and support services.
We are looking for a proactive and flexible team-player to join our small and close-knit Global Mobility Office. Our office supports inbound and outbound travel through international partnerships, aligning with the university’s Education and International strategies. The Global Mobility Office is part of the Student Success Division, which includes other departments such as Social Mobility & Widening Participation, Student Transition & Outcomes, King’s Careers & Employability, and Interdisciplinary Education. These departments collectively strive to enhance the student experience and provide effective administrative support.
About the Role:
In this role, you will support all inbound study abroad programs managed by the Global Mobility Office. Each academic year, we welcome approximately 1,100 students who come to King’s for a semester, year, or non-standard period. Your responsibilities will involve working with various professional services teams to guide and support these students from around the world. You will collaborate closely with the Global Mobility Senior Officer (Incoming Students Co-ordinator), taking the lead on student communications, social media, events, and administrative tasks that facilitate the incoming students’ study experience at King’s.
This role requires strong administration skills and an intercultural sensibility. While there are no direct line-report responsibilities, you will delegate tasks to the Global Mobility Peer Advisors, a group of students who have studied abroad and now assist our team in supporting other students. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who have experience in student travel and university-to-university partnerships and who wish to utilize their skills to enhance the international student experience.
We encourage applications from candidates with experience both within and outside of the Higher Education sector, as long as they can demonstrate the necessary skills to succeed in this role.
This is a full-time, permanent position. However, we also welcome applications from candidates seeking a flexible work pattern within our necessary service operating hours (10am-4pm)
