University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Global Engagement Manager to join our energetic communication team.

As a Global Engagement Manager, you will play a crucial part in enhancing UAL’s global impact through networking and establishing vital connections with key audiences, such as international press, academic leaders, entrepreneurs, businesses, and policymakers. By utilizing your expertise in creating and implementing outreach strategies, you will help to position UAL and our academic experts in significant media outlets, conferences, and public forums, elevating their profiles worldwide and promoting our collective impact.

This is a novel role where you will create and execute a strategic plan to foster engagement with our international audience, working collaboratively with UAL’s leading academics and researchers. UAL research and knowledge exchange play a significant role in addressing global challenges and driving positive change. We are seeking a candidate who can help amplify this message on the world stage. Your engagement strategies will ensure that the university’s voice on various complex topics becomes part of the global conversation. You will play a pivotal role in developing our vision and communication strategy to external audiences in critical international territories, including Asia, North, and South America.

About you

To be successful in this role, you need to have proven experience in delivering measurable improvements in reach and relationships through communications and/or marketing. You should have a solid understanding of academic and creative industry audiences and thought leadership and research within these sectors.

The position sits within the Social Purpose Group, a newly formed group within the University. The team comprises communications, fundraising, the new Social Purpose Lab, and UAL’s newly launched Storytelling Institute. Together, the group is committed to shaping and changing the world positively.
