The Global Education Advisor is an essential member of a dynamic group of international education professionals who are dedicated to UGA’s overall education mission. Working with the staff of the Global Education division in the Office of Global Engagement, the Advisor is responsible for implementing policies and procedures related to international student mobility, providing guidance to students before, during, and after overseas programs, promoting international opportunities, training student staff, and collaborating with other faculty and staff members involved in study abroad programs. With over 2,500 UGA students studying abroad each year, the university boasts 100 faculty-led study abroad programs and 50 reciprocal exchange partners, and nearly 30% of students study abroad at some point in their college career. Located in Athens, Georgia, UGA has been operating since 1785 and is Georgia’s oldest, most comprehensive, and most diversified institution of higher education. With over 40,000 students, more than 3,000 faculty, and over 7,700 full-time staff, UGA is currently ranked among the top 20 public universities in the United States.
