University of Chester

The International Centre at the University of Chester is leading the way in advancing global education through our online and transnational education (TNE) programs. We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and innovative Global Development Director (Online/TNE) to lead and expand Chester’s international initiatives. This role will oversee the design, execution, and management of our global online and hybrid programs, including establishing partnerships with major international institutions.

As the Global Development Director, your responsibilities will include developing partnerships and programs, overseeing financial aspects, and expanding our market presence to ensure the growth and sustainability of Chester Global’s educational offerings. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to the university’s international development and enhance our global reputation.

We seek an individual with proven experience in the higher education sector, excellent skills in business strategy development, and a passion for advancing online and TNE programs. Candidates should possess an advanced degree in Business, Education Management, or a related field, along with a strong track record in developing and managing online and/or TNE programs, preferably within a higher education context. Additionally, strong project management skills, experience in financial oversight, expertise in partnership management, and excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing, presentations, and negotiations are essential. The role will involve international travel.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape our global development opportunities. A role and salary review will occur after an initial 12 months, contingent on growth and income generation.
