### The Team

This role is integral to the YSJ Global Team at our York campus. YSJ Global is a multi-disciplinary directorate comprising teams such as International Student Recruitment and Conversion, Overseas Partnerships, Student Support, Marketing and Communications, Admissions, Visa and Compliance, and the International Programmes Team. Our primary mission is to advance the international social mobility of students at York St John University.

### The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to become the Global CAS Manager within our expanding Global Recruitment team. This crucial position involves efficiently and accurately managing the issuance of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for international students, ensuring a smooth visa application process. The Global CAS Manager will work closely with various university departments, such as Global Recruitment, Admissions, the Academic Registrar, Finance, and Data Quality teams, to ensure data accuracy and provide an outstanding student experience.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the entire CAS process for all courses and intakes, ensuring compliance with UKVI regulations, and acting as a Level 1 User of the Home Office Sponsor Management System (SMS). The role includes maintaining accurate records, providing regular CAS-related reports, and offering training on CAS and UKVI compliance to internal and external stakeholders.

### Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for the Global CAS Manager role will have extensive experience in international admissions or UKVI Visa Compliance, with a strong understanding of the International Higher Education sector. The candidate must excel at managing complex processes with high accuracy, particularly in data management, and demonstrate a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various university departments and stakeholders across multiple campuses. Experience in delivering training related to UKVI compliance and CAS processes is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should possess a high level of cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the diverse needs of international students.
