Our Story

In September 2023, IH Sydney Training Services acquired PBL Education Pty Ltd, an approved higher education provider. PBL, known as the International Graduate Institute (IGI), offers a range of business-related courses, including 3 bachelor’s degrees, 1 associate degree, and 1 diploma. Since its launch in February 2024, IGI has been based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, positioning itself as a premier higher education provider.

The Role

As the General Manager of the International Graduate Institute, your primary responsibility is to lead the institution towards strategic, operational, and academic excellence. This crucial role entails elevating IGI’s position in the market and ensuring exceptional educational outcomes and transformative learning experiences for our students. You will spearhead initiatives to expand our educational offerings, enhance our reputation, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in learning.

Key Responsibilities

– Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with IGI’s purpose, mission, vision, and promises, with a focus on academic excellence, student success, and financial stability.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and legal standards while actively managing risks and adapting to changes in the higher education sector.
– Provide thought leadership on service model improvements and emerging approaches to delivering integrated, effective, and efficient services.
– Support the design and continuous improvement of academic programs, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies.
– Champion the development and expansion of academic programs and qualifications to meet industry and market demands.
– Lead IGI’s interstate and international expansion plans to support overall growth.
– Manage the institute’s financial resources through a Shared Services agreement with IHSTS.
– Lead strategic projects and change management initiatives.
– Oversee operational processes and practices through the management of the Registrar and Dean.
– Strengthen relationships with industry, government, and academic partners to foster collaboration, research opportunities, and student employability.
– Enhance student engagement strategies and support services to improve retention rates and graduate outcomes.
– Develop a robust quality assurance framework and culture across all IGI operations.
– Continuously monitor and improve all areas of operations using data and feedback.

Required Qualifications and Skills

– Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in a private or public higher education provider (Master’s degree preferred).
– Experience in managing multi-site locations is highly advantageous.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leading higher education position.
– Ability to lead all aspects of the education business.
– Exceptional administration skills, promoting effective information sharing.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proven ability to build relationships and establish a collaborative team environment.
– In-depth knowledge of Australian higher education legislative and regulatory requirements.
– Strong leadership abilities to mentor and guide a diverse team.
– Proficiency in strategic planning and project execution.
– Ability to speak and present publicly, representing the company at industry conferences and forums.
– Working With Children Check is required.
