OVERVIEW The Student Advisor role at Fairfield University supports both study abroad programs and international student services within a global education context. Working under the supervision of the Associate Vice Provost for Global Strategy, this position plays a central role in advising students, supporting mobility programs, and assisting with international admissions and compliance processes. The role combines student-facing advising with administrative, data, and outreach responsibilities tied to global engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Advise students on approved study abroad programs – Provide support for study abroad programs – Support international student admissions processes – Support visa processes for international students – Maintain visa records – Represent the university at study abroad fairs – Represent the university at NAFSA events – Support global education databases – Support communications related to global education REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role is essential to ensuring that students can safely, compliantly, and confidently engage in international education opportunities.
