OVERVIEW The Senior Director of Global Academic Services and Education Abroad provides strategic leadership for education abroad and global academic services at Florida Atlantic University. Based within the Center for Global Engagement, this role supports international education initiatives that advance global engagement, compliance, and academic mobility. The position plays a central role in shaping study abroad opportunities and international partnerships across the university. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide strategic leadership for education abroad and global academic services – Oversee study abroad programs and international mobility initiatives – Manage global partnerships and contracts with international partners – Lead international regulatory and compliance processes – Oversee visa and immigration compliance, including J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, and PERM processes – Manage risk related to international travel – Lead Fulbright advising and prestigious global awards advising – Manage staff, budgets, and operational resources – Represent the university in international education organizations REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports the university’s commitment to international education by strengthening study abroad programs and global partnerships.
