The UCR University Extension is focused on continuing education and caters to the learning needs of students and employers at local, regional, and global levels. The division has been providing a range of international programs, including postgraduate certificates and diplomas, ESL, academic pathway programs, customized training, and more since 1975.
The Executive Director, who will report to the Dean of UCR University Extension and be a member of the Senior Executive Council, will work closely with the Academic Affairs and Strategic Operations divisions, as well as the UCR Office of International Affairs and other administrative organizations on the campus. The Executive Director will be responsible for business development of International Programs at UCR Extension and will travel extensively to promote UCR University Extension in both established and developing international markets, with the aim of increasing international enrollments and revenue. This person will be expected to conduct university partner and governmental agency visits, student recruitment fairs, and establish new programs and partnerships.
Additionally, the Executive Director will provide oversight and guidance to UCR Extension staff under their direction and will manage the budget for the International Programs division. They will also ensure the academic quality and integrity of international education curricula. The Executive Director will be the lead administrator for all international programs, including academic pathway programs, English language programs, short- and long-term custom programs, and internship (CPT and OTP) based programs.
