The salary ranges from £35,758 to £40,741 per annum (inclusive), with the potential to progress to £43,604 per annum (inclusive of London allowance). This is a fixed-term position for two years.

The Events Coordinator serves as the primary contact for a wide array of events within the International Relations Department (IRD), targeting diverse audiences such as the public, students, staff, and alumni. The main responsibilities include ensuring the efficient management and delivery of the IRD’s event program, which includes public lectures, workshops, seminars, conferences, and community events for students and alumni. The role is crucial in shaping the department’s engagement strategy and programming, including the research and suggestion of event ideas to enhance the department’s profile. The coordinator will need to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver these events.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in organizing and managing events of various sizes and types, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to plan and prioritize a diverse workload, as well as anticipate challenges and devise solutions. Experience in organizing or managing events within Higher Education, government organizations, charities, or NGOs is also essential.
