The Academic Section at the University of Essex is renowned for its top-quality teaching and research. As part of the Academic Section, Essex Abroad works tirelessly to coordinate and manage all forms of student international mobility, ensuring a seamless experience for our students. This includes student exchanges, study abroad programs, overseas work and volunteering opportunities, and summer schools abroad. We are also actively involved in supporting strategic international partnership development.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for students seeking advice and guidance on studying abroad or participating in the YUFE alliance. This will involve providing information on course content, admissions requirements, enrolment procedures, and student support services. You will also liaise with partner institutions, departments, and students to ensure the smooth operation of incoming and outgoing student processes. Additionally, you will provide support for short-term international programs.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role and customer service within a relevant environment. Cultural awareness and sensitivity are crucial, as is the ability to work well in a diverse team. You should be able to work independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in IT. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities are essential. Flexibility is also important.
