RAI UK (www.rai.ac.uk) is a new initiative aiming to establish a Responsible AI Centre in the UK through collaboration with industry, learned societies, and leading research institutions worldwide. As the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) Coordinator for RAI UK, you will be based at the Institute of Mental Health (Jubilee Campus) within the School of Medicine and Computer Science. However, you will work closely with an operations team across three institutions, namely the University of Nottingham, University of Southampton, and Kings College London.
To excel in this role, you must possess proven experience in event planning and coordination, running workshops and training sessions, as well as engaging with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include coordinating a series of EDI and RRI events, leading and delivering RAI UK’s EDI and RRI activities in collaboration with the EDI and RRI Director and AI UK Delivery Team, developing new EDI and RRI resources in partnership with academics and partners, establishing strong relationships with RAI UK partners, internal teams, and relevant external organizations, producing informative material to update partners and the public about RAI UK’s activities, and actively seeking opportunities for outreach activities.
This position is a permanent role, with underlying funding until March 31, 2028. The working hours are part-time (18.45 hours), and on occasion, you may be required to work evenings and weekends with sufficient notice.
