Radford University is currently seeking applicants for the role of Education Abroad Coordinator in the Center for Global Education and Engagement. The Education Abroad Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
– Managing all education abroad programs, including semester, summer, exchange, faculty-led, internship, affiliate, and others.
– Providing advising to students on education abroad opportunities, program selection, academics, finances, visa requirements, health and safety policies, and administration matters.
– Collaborating with faculty to develop and implement faculty-led and customized programs in accordance with policy.
– Working with campus partners to support students during their education abroad experience.
– Incorporating diversity and inclusion best practices into advising methods.
– Reviewing applications and preparing necessary documents for partners.
– Conducting pre-departure orientation and re-entry programming for education abroad students.
– Maintaining up-to-date program information for advertising and communications purposes.
– Liaising with advising offices, colleges, departments, faculty, and staff at RU to share information on programs abroad.
– Delivering presentations and information sessions to individuals and groups to promote global education experiences.
– Participating in university-wide marketing opportunities for study abroad.
– Performing international site visits and attending conferences related to international education.
– Managing the international health insurance enrollment process for students and employees traveling abroad.
– Serving as the main campus Fulbright contact.
– Managing and maintaining the Terra Dotta system for study abroad.
– Chairing the Education Abroad Advisor Council (EAAC).
– Assisting with other duties as assigned.
