We are currently seeking an Advisor to join our Early Careers team and support the coordination of our graduate and student schemes. In this role, you will bring expertise in Graduate Programme management, providing operational coordination and administrative support to our STFC Graduate and Student Schemes. Collaborating closely with the Senior Graduate Advisor and our L&D colleagues, you will contribute to the planning, continuous improvement, and implementation of the graduate and student development programs.
Key responsibilities include representing and promoting the schemes to potential recruits and partner organizations, as well as offering pastoral care and developmental support to our Graduates and Students. Additionally, you will provide proactive and responsive guidance to Managers, Supervisors, Graduates, and Students.
Person Specification:
– Knowledge, understanding, and experience of Graduate and Student programs in the UK
– Experience in designing and/or delivering learning and development interventions and/or events
– Experience in managing/supporting graduates/students or individuals in the early stages of their careers
– Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
– Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
– Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
Occasional travel within the UK and Europe will be required, including visits to UKATC in Edinburgh for graduate and student support. Some unsocial hours will also be necessary for attendance at careers fairs and participation in Graduate Team activities such as site visits, annual awards ceremonies, outward-bound weeks, and the annual Graduate Conference.
Our Early Career Advisers come from diverse backgrounds with skills developed in previous roles such as apprenticeships, local authority, education, and HR. Whether you have experience in line management or supervision, delivering Information Advice and Guidance (IAG), or mentoring, we are looking for passionate individuals to support our apprentices and contribute to our organization’s diverse activities.
