Job Description: Director of Transnational Education at the University of Surrey

The University of Surrey is inviting applications for the role of Director of Transnational Education (TNE). This senior strategic position is designed for a leader to advance the university’s international education initiatives by expanding its global presence through effective partnerships and innovative strategies. Working from the Guildford campus, the Director of TNE will spearhead the development and management of educational programs and partnerships across various international venues, including branch campuses, joint institutes, and franchise arrangements. The role is integral to reinforcing Surrey’s commitment to providing transformative education and research opportunities globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and lead a specialized TNE team that collaborates with academic representatives throughout the institution.
  • Conduct in-country activities to evaluate and understand local educational frameworks.
  • Identify and promote new opportunities to enhance the university’s international reach.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements with international partners to establish new collaborative ventures.
  • Guide the institutional implementation team to ensure the successful launch and execution of new partnership projects.
