A major player on the international stage, the University of Surrey is looking to appoint a Director of Transnational Education (TNE). This senior strategic role is crucial in steering the university’s Transnational Education ventures, which include managing international campuses, joint institutes, and collaborative arrangements across borders. The appointed Director will work closely with university executives and senior academic figures to advance Surrey’s international presence, particularly across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and lead a specialized TNE team working with academics across the university
- Conduct assessments in various countries to align with local educational frameworks
- Identify and advocate for international expansion opportunities
- Spearhead commercial negotiations and form alliances with international partners
- Oversee the implementation of new international partnership projects in collaboration with academic teams
Experience:
Ideal candidates will have proven expertise in Transnational Education, International Educational Partnerships, or Global Engagement. Experience leading TNE initiatives in UK higher education institutions or similar organizations, either in a lead or support capacity, is highly desirable.
