**Position Summary:**

The Director of International Recruitment will directly report to the Director of Recruitment and play a vital role in implementing strategies for A-State’s international services, including enrollment management for international students. The role requires fostering a professional and amiable rapport with students. The successful candidate should excel in public relations and possess exceptional customer service skills.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

**International Recruitment**

– Develop and manage an international recruitment schedule, including travel abroad to engage with potential international students and promote undergraduate programs.
– Assist international students throughout the application process and act as the primary contact for any follow-up queries and additional information.
– Establish partnerships with global agents and maintain communication as their main point of contact.
– Host virtual webinars for prospective international students.
– Handle admission-related communication with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students through various channels like phone calls, webinars, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
– Ensure prompt communication with agents, prospective students, and their families by managing correspondence and inquiries efficiently.
– Have a thorough understanding of undergraduate programs and admission requirements.
– Prepare annual reports on international recruitment territories and provide regular updates.
– Collaborate with the Enrollment Management Communications and Marketing team to create a targeted communication plan for international recruitment.
– Spend about two months each year traveling abroad for recruitment purposes.

**Relationships:**

– Manage collaboration with international recruitment agents, involving meetings with agents overseas, virtual sessions, and regular contact through calls and emails.
– Oversee the applicant pool from third-party agents, ensuring all applications are tracked correctly from admission to enrollment and updating agents on application statuses.
– Identify and pursue beneficial relations and agreements with educational institutions, government bodies, and corporations.
– Foster relationships with current and prospective partners, as well as other educational professionals involved with international students.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**

– Understanding of A-State and its degree programs.
– Familiarity with academic credit, course substitutions, and registration processes.
– Ability to empathize and work effectively with students and faculty from diverse cultures.
– Collaborative skills for working with various campus and international offices.
– Proficient in public speaking and possessing strong communication capabilities.

**Work Schedule:**

– Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
– Additional hours as required.
– Regular and consistent attendance is essential.

**Travel Requirements:**

– This position demands frequent travel, including nights and weekends as necessary.
– Two months of international travel are required annually.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fields like Business Administration, Marketing, Counseling, International Education, International Business, International Affairs, or a related field.
– At least one year of experience working with international student programs and/or international students in an academic context is preferred.
– Experience in public speaking and interacting with individuals from varied cultures and backgrounds.
