**Position Announcement: Director of International Recruitment**
**Position Overview:**
The Director of International Recruitment is a full-time role within the International Education department, reporting directly to the Dean of International Education. This position is primarily responsible for recruiting international students for Millikin University’s various degree and non-degree academic programs. The Director will design and execute strategic enrollment plans utilizing best practices to meet international recruitment targets.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
– Recruit qualified international students for both degree-seeking and non-degree academic programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and customized programs. This will involve international travel.
– Oversee the entire recruitment process for international students, including initial contact, responding to inquiries, collecting required documentation, reviewing applications, and communicating admission decisions.
– Maintain consistent and effective communication with prospective and admitted students, documenting all interactions and recruitment activities.
– Plan, organize, and execute necessary travel for international student recruitment.
– Collaborate with the Marketing department to develop and manage marketing initiatives aimed at attracting international students.
– Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
**Qualifications:**
*Minimum Qualifications:*
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
– Experience in International Recruitment and Admissions at a US college or university.
– Strong organizational and communication skills, with the capability to communicate effectively and sensitively with non-English speakers and individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
– International travel experience related to student recruitment and partnership-building.
– Proficient computer skills, including presentation development and social media proficiency.
– Valid passport and driver’s license.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
– Master’s degree.
– Four or more years of experience in International Recruitment and Admissions at a US college or university.
– Knowledge of international higher education systems.
– Experience in recruiting sponsored students.
– Experience working with agents and partner institutions.
– Awareness of trends in international student recruitment and new student markets.
– Fluency in a second language.
