The Director of International Education is responsible for overseeing various aspects of international education, including travel study abroad programs, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), hosting international individuals and delegations, developing international partnerships and agreements, organizing on-campus and community programming, such as International Education Week. The director also works closely with faculty and other college units to support the Global Distinction program and other efforts to internationalize the campus and curriculum. Additionally, the director is responsible for developing high-quality travel and virtual programs, ensuring compliance with administration and policy development, and maintaining academic integrity. The director serves as the risk manager for travel programs and must stay updated on potential risks to ensure program safety and compliance with college policies. The role also requires periodic domestic and international travel and the ability to handle program emergencies effectively. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are necessary to collaborate with faculty and staff, provide excellent service to students, and lead the Office of International Education staff.
