JOB SUMMARY: The Director of International and Cultural Education (CICE) reports to the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion and is responsible for leading the development and management of a variety of study away and exchange programs.
Employment Type: Full-time (.96 FTE/11.5 months), Benefits-Eligible, Exempt (Salaried)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Plan new off-campus programs and evaluate existing ones in collaboration with the Provost’s Office.
– Promote off-campus study opportunities both on and off campus and work towards increasing access to these programs.
– Support multicultural students participating in off-campus programs.
– Lead new student Signature Experiences through the CICE.
– Collaborate with faculty to integrate global perspectives on campus.
– Manage CICE operating budget and supervise staff.
– Negotiate agreements with other institutions.
– Develop long-term plans for off-campus programs.
– Coordinate health, safety, and liability issues for off-campus programs.
– Serve on campus committees and advise on international student issues.
– Maintain relationships with administrative offices and off-campus study organizations.
Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
– Experience with Terra Dotta and SEVIS
– Experience in staff supervision and budget management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Master’s Degree
– Higher Education and International Education experience
– Previous experience as a PDSO/DSO or RO/ARO
