Exciting Career Opportunity: Director of Global Partnerships and Networks

This senior leadership position is essential for propelling our international ambitions and enhancing our global impact. You will play a crucial role in expanding our international footprint, focusing on transnational education (TNE) and international network strategies.

Role Overview:

As the Director of Global Partnerships and Networks, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and develop strategic initiatives that expand our global presence and foster international collaborations. Working closely with senior leadership, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) for External Engagement, you will implement innovative approaches to identify and develop new TNE opportunities, ultimately driving the University’s global KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

This role requires strategic leadership across colleges and professional services, ensuring that international partnerships align with our academic standards and goals. You will be an influential voice on the University’s TNE Governance Board and International Strategy and Delivery Board, representing our interests in fostering global academic collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the development of strategic global partnerships with higher education institutions, organizations, and governments.
  • Providing expert advice on international policy developments to guide new international partnerships.
  • Evaluating TNE opportunities to further extend the University of Glasgow’s international reach and influence.
  • Demonstrating exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in:

  • Establishing and managing successful international partnerships and TNE programs.
  • Driving strategic international initiatives to enhance global profiles in higher education.
  • Demonstrating high-level interpersonal and political awareness skills to manage change and influence senior-level decisions.
