We are currently inviting applications for the role of Director of International Admissions at our New York City campus, located in lower Manhattan.
**Position Summary:**
The Director of International Admissions, who will report directly to the Dean of Admission, will spearhead the development and execution of a strategy for international student recruitment, aiming to meet the university’s enrollment targets. The role involves collaboration with several university departments, including the Office of the Provost, Office of International Students and Scholars, Housing, Orientation, Office of Student Assistance, Academic Deans, and the English Language Institute, to continuously enhance and advance Pace’s international enrollment strategy. As a crucial member of the Enrollment Management team, the Director will ensure a smooth and student-focused enrollment process for international applicants.
**Position Responsibilities:**
– Evaluate, revise, and implement Pace’s strategic international student enrollment plan.
– Analyze enrollment trends and develop new outreach strategies to increase Pace’s presence in the global market.
– Coordinate with admission offices, Enrollment Operations and Technology, Marketing, and the International Student Office to streamline the process for international applicants, covering areas such as market development, communication, admission, visa requirements, enrollment, and orientation for both undergraduate and graduate students.
– Work with the Office of the Provost and various school Deans to develop partnerships with international secondary schools and universities.
– Identify and engage reputable independent counselors/agents and manage agent contracts.
– Oversee the activities of Pace’s international recruitment agencies.
– Research scholarship opportunities from sponsoring governments, achieve approval for Pace as a host institution for scholarship students, and coordinate efforts to leverage these opportunities.
– Plan and strategize international travel for the team, and participate in international travel as necessary.
– Monitor the international recruiting budget.
– Build, train, and mentor the International Admissions team.
**Ideal Candidate Qualifications:**
– A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; a graduate degree is preferred.
– A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in international planning, creative problem-solving, and effective administration.
– Proven leadership, supervisory, motivational, and change management skills.
– A valid passport and driver’s license are required.
– Experience with SEVIS and I-20 processing is desirable.
– Proven experience in budget management.
– Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
