We are currently seeking a Deputy Programme Director (MSc Modelling for Global Health) to join the Nuffield Department of Medicine. This role aims to contribute to our vision of training a new generation of modellers equipped with advanced interdisciplinary skills to support the development of global health systems at various levels.

As the Deputy Programme Director, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Director and other academic and strategic team members to develop a strategic vision for the MSc programme. This will involve playing a pivotal role in managing and guiding the overall direction of the MSc Modelling for Global Health programme. Furthermore, you will be expected to make curriculum adjustments based on feedback from stakeholder organizations and previous cohorts of students, as well as discussions with the Organizing Committee. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining and advancing your own research agenda in areas relevant to global health modelling. This includes securing external research funding, producing published outputs, and presenting at international conferences.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a PhD/DPhil in global health, infectious disease modelling, health economics or a related field. You must also have extensive experience in infectious disease modelling, including academic research. A distinguished research career in global health, infectious disease modelling, health economics, or a related field is essential, demonstrating your expertise as a recognized international authority in the specialization. Additionally, you should be capable of working independently to achieve set goals and fostering productive collaborations. Experience in managing research projects and personnel is also required.
