The University of Rochester is seeking its inaugural Deputy Director of the International Services Office (ISO). This pivotal role involves shaping the future of international education at the university by driving innovation, inclusivity, and excellence within the office. The Deputy Director will report to the Assistant Vice Provost (AVP) and oversee the student and scholar advising teams. These teams are responsible for delivering comprehensive and integrated immigration advising services to a diverse international population, including students, scholars, faculty, staff, and their dependents.

In addition to advising responsibilities, the Deputy Director will partner closely with the AVP on various strategic imperatives. These include strategic planning, budget development, coordination of HR issues, onboarding of new staff, and managing office-wide projects, ensuring efficient and effective departmental operations. As the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO) for the F- and J-visa programs, the Deputy Director will ensure compliance with immigration regulations while promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for all international community members.

This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to significantly impact the University of Rochester’s international initiatives. The Deputy Director will be integral to the success and integration of the international community, gaining both national and international recognition through service to the university and engagement with professional organizations globally.
