The Center for Global Engagement at ODU is seeking a full-time Deputy Director (GP057A). The Deputy Director will co-represent the office at Director level meetings and strategic planning sessions as a member of the CGE team alongside the Senior International Officer and other Deputy Director. This position will manage the VISA office, ensuring federal compliance with all immigration data systems. Advocacy efforts across campus will be led by the Deputy Director, providing leadership to the international student community through workshops and targeted communications. A Master’s degree in Higher Education, International Education or related fields from an accredited institution is required, along with an extensive knowledge of federal regulations related to F & J international student visa holders. Candidates must have demonstrated experience as a Designated School Office (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Office (ARO) recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for authorized access to the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required in order to access the Department of Homeland Security’s SEVIS. The position will remain open until 6/8/2023.
