Currently, we are in search of a new Dean of Students who will play a crucial role in shaping the student experience at Macquarie. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the Dean of Students will lead efforts to enhance student learning, personal development, and create a diverse and socially responsible learning community. This senior leadership position requires expertise in developing and implementing policies, projects, and initiatives that support and enrich the academic and social lives of our students.

The Dean of Students will oversee the Office of the Dean of Students, which is responsible for enhancing the student experience and fostering a sense of belonging across the university. This role will focus on key areas such as student wellbeing, engagement, and conduct, in alignment with the university’s Strategy and Operating Plan. The successful candidate will also contribute to the implementation of the Macquarie Advantage strategy to improve student services and support, ultimately enhancing student satisfaction and retention.

We are looking for a passionate, strategic thinker with extensive experience in university leadership and a deep understanding of student needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, managing functions, and driving positive outcomes. Collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential traits for this role.
