Job Overview:

This role at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is focused on creating innovative and professional teaching materials that align with the university’s curriculum. You will initially concentrate on developing resources for the BSc Sustainable Agriculture program, in collaboration with an international partner. The position also offers opportunities to design materials in other fields such as Agriculture, Equine, Business, Environment, and Land Property. The key aim is to produce dynamic teaching notes and interactive learning exercises that meet international standards and legal requirements. You will also adapt these materials for use across different platforms and with partner institutions globally.

Location and Working Conditions:

The position is based in a hybrid work environment, with occasional meetings in Cirencester and travel to international partner institutions. It is a part-time role offering between 11.2 and 28 hours per week, depending on contract flexibility.

Salary and Term:

The salary ranges from £32,982 to £39,347 per annum, pro rata, and the role is a one-year fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cutting-edge teaching materials for the RAU curriculum.
  • Create interactive learning experiences to enhance student understanding and skills.
  • Ensure all materials comply with international copyright and licensing laws.
  • Review and adapt content for international delivery, addressing specific country needs.
  • Share and coordinate resources with UK and international partners, ensuring compatibility with various content management systems.
  • Assist in the planning and development of RAU’s broader degree programs for both UK and international students.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in agriculture, food, or a related land-based discipline is required.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results within set deadlines.
  • Strong technical knowledge of agriculture and food systems.
  • Experience in designing and evaluating teaching materials, including innovative and interactive methods.
  • Ability to tackle pedagogical and practical challenges, particularly by employing technology-enhanced learning approaches.
