University of Plymouth

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our newly created Credibility team. This team is responsible for evaluating the suitability of international applicants for a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). The team will work closely with the Student Recruitment and Admissions, UKVI Compliance, and Plymouth Global teams to support the University’s international student recruitment goals and maintain its status as a Student Visa Sponsor with the UK Home Office.

We are currently looking to hire four individuals for the Credibility team. Three Credibility Officers will report to a Senior Credibility Officer, who will manage the team on a day-to-day basis.

As a member of this team, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and organize workloads. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are also essential, as you will be providing exceptional customer service to applicants, agents, and other key partners.

Having an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages and the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial for this role. While previous experience working with international students in an administrative, support, or admissions role would be desirable, it is not essential.

All positions will be based on our main campus. If you have any questions or would like to have an informal discussion, please feel free to contact Anna Want, UKVI Compliance Manager via email at anna.want@plymouth.ac.uk.

To apply, please provide a supporting statement that clearly demonstrates how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training, and experience sections of the job description.

The closing date for applications is Midnight, Wednesday 11th October 2023. Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing Monday 30th October 2023, and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted.

This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring 37 hours of work per week. We are open to considering flexible working options, including job sharing.

We offer a competitive salary package, a generous pension and holiday scheme, and various other benefits, including ongoing development opportunities.

If selected for this position, you will be employed by the University of Plymouth Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Plymouth. As part of the University of Plymouth community, you will adhere to the university’s HR policies and procedures, unless otherwise stated.

At the University of Plymouth, we value diversity and strive to create a welcoming community where everyone can thrive and contribute.
