Job Details:

Company: This position supports the management of the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and ensures compliance with federal regulations for international educational exchange. The SEVIS Coordinator is a Designated School Official (DSO) and advises students on F-1 status, transfers, and employment authorization. They also work with technical teams to implement electronic reporting and monitoring for students and exchange visitors through a self-service portal. Additionally, the Coordinator collects statistical data, maintains website updates, and contributes to social media efforts.

Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
– Ability to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO)
– Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
– Must be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
– Knowledge of XML datafile troubleshooting or ability to learn

Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in Information Systems or Higher Education
– One year of experience as a DSO
– Experience with SEVIS batch software and technical requirements
– Website design and maintenance experience
– Statistical analysis and report writing experience
– Experience in a higher education environment

Duties & Responsibilities:
– Monitor student enrollment and manage batch registration
– Update software and security certificates for SEVIS server and RTI
– Troubleshoot and resolve batch system issues
– Analyze and document business requirements and data elements
– Translate business requirements into batch processes and workflows
– Compile and distribute statistical data on international students
– Stay updated on federal regulations
– Advise students on maintaining valid F-1 status and related benefits
– Coordinate the arrival process for new students
– Monitor and reconcile SEVIS Alerts and Data Fixes
– Maintain website updates and contribute to social media efforts
– Contribute to student programming and assessment efforts
– Perform other assigned duties
