Coastal Carolina University is inviting applications for a full-time role as Coordinator of Education Abroad Programs within the Center for Global Engagement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, globally-aware, and culturally insightful individual to join our dynamic education abroad team at the Center for Global Engagement (CGE). As Coastal Carolina University prioritizes education abroad in its strategic planning, the Coordinator of Education Abroad Programs will be essential in fostering and advancing these initiatives. The role involves managing our comprehensive advising services with an empowered advising philosophy. This integral team member will also participate in our innovative student travel program for faculty and staff and assist with submitting study and internship abroad applications. This role encourages creative design of signature events to enhance awareness of education abroad and involves administering and supporting essential policies for a seamless study abroad journey. Ongoing learning is crucial for supporting a varied student body and ensuring adherence to best practices.

**Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

1. Managing comprehensive advising services and processes for education abroad using an empowered advising model, with a focus on responsive customer service and confidentiality.

2. Coordinating assigned education abroad portfolios; supporting a team-based approach to implement best practices; serving on-call for basic risk management scenarios abroad on a rotational basis.

3. Handling operational tasks related to program setup and application management linked to CCU’s study abroad system and other campus systems for efficient program service delivery.

4. Organizing engaging education abroad awareness events like study/intern abroad expos, orientations, and campus presentations.

5. Leading assessment initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and recommending policy or procedural changes that enhance service based on best practices.

**Required Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree and experience in student services.

**Preferred Qualifications:** Master’s degree, student advising experience for study abroad opportunities, event planning experience, familiarity with student information and education abroad platforms.

**Skills & Abilities:** Ability to forge productive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and parents. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in MS 365 required. Marketing material design skills are an asset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting requiring multitasking, organization, and attention to detail. Composure in challenging situations is essential. Must be available by phone or text for basic risk management responses outside regular hours. Must be able to interpret and apply University and State policies with discretion and maintain confidentiality handling student information. High level of intercultural awareness for managing complex discussions effectively.

This is a full-time Student Services Coordinator II position (CB70/61122014/202400407) with benefits, within SC State Pay Band 05. Salary ranges from $38,985 to $55,559. Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with flexibility required to meet the university’s scheduling needs
