SUMMARY:

The Coordinator reports to the Assistant Vice President of Global Engagement and is responsible for managing the relationship with Montclair’s international education partner. Additionally, the Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for prospective and admitted international students, handling admissions-related issues and supporting initiatives to increase Montclair’s international enrollment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Assist in managing the relationship with the international education partner, including regular communication and training for overseas sales teams.
– Participate in the planning and development of recruitment and admissions strategies for international graduate and undergraduate students.
– Develop and recommend plans for improving admission processes for international students.
– Manage data flow between the University and the international education partner, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.
– Build relationships with key University stakeholders to increase recruitment opportunities.
– Collaborate with overseas sales team to develop a conversion process for prospective students and secure commitments from accepted students.
– Guide international students through the application process and be their primary point of contact for inquiries and information.
– Initiate follow-up activities to convert prospective international student applications into enrollments.
– Conduct virtual information sessions for prospective international students.
– Assist with Slate mailings, queries, event management, and report generation.
– Prepare reports on application and enrollment trends and provide recommendations for improvements.
– Manage social media accounts for engaging with prospective students.
– Supervise student employees and provide appropriate training programs.
– Perform other assigned duties.
– Management may add or change job duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
– Minimum of three years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or marketing in a US higher education setting, with at least two years in international admissions or recruitment.
– Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Outlook, database management, and website/social media maintenance.
– Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills for building relationships with students and stakeholders.
– Valid passport and ability to travel internationally as required.
– Ability to occasionally work outside of regular office hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
– Strong analytical skills.
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.

PREFERRED:

– Master’s degree in a related field.
– Proficiency in a foreign language.
– Familiarity with CRMs (Slate, Salesforce, etc.).
– Experience working with international agents and external vendors.
