**Communications Officer, Young Lives**
Young Lives, part of the Oxford Department of International Development, is currently looking for a Communications Officer. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Communications Manager to execute multi-channel communication strategies, promoting the study’s research findings, policy recommendations, and methodologies to key audiences.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Collaborate with the Communications Manager to implement the Young Lives communications strategy, taking the lead on specific projects and deliverables.
– Spearhead the social media strategy for Young Lives; plan and create engaging content tailored to each platform to enhance engagement and reach.
– Develop, manage, and promote digital content, including videos, infographics, and the e-newsletter, to increase Young Lives’ visibility and profile.
– Maintain and enhance the Young Lives international website; work with the team using Google Analytics to identify, commission, and edit new content; support country staff with maintaining and developing the Ethiopian and Indian websites.
– Assist the Communications Manager in ensuring a consistent and strong brand image for Young Lives.
– Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote Young Lives to internal and external audiences; create and update promotional materials to support fundraising efforts.
– Monitor, track, and evaluate communication activities, collaborating with the broader team to report on the impact and reach of Young Lives’ work.
– Provide logistical support for in-person, online, or hybrid Young Lives events, in collaboration with the Administration Officer.
– Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Young Lives Communications Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, particularly in writing and editing, and the ability to distill complex information into clear, accessible language. They should have extensive experience in utilizing social media for research communications and be proficient in creating digital content using Adobe CC. Precision, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are critical for this role.
