About the Role
The Blavatnik School of Government is seeking a highly experienced and strategic communications professional to lead a challenging role at the core of a new £30m six-year global research and policy initiative.
The What Works Hub on Global Education (WWH) at the Blavatnik School of Government aims to significantly enhance learning outcomes for children in developing countries. It achieves this by generating new evidence on the “implementation science” of delivering effective education on a large scale, in cooperation with governments and across diverse contexts.
As the Communications Lead, you will have editorial control over the WWH website. You will strategically disseminate messages and analysis produced by the WWH, its partners, and the broader education community. Furthermore, you will leverage the assets of strategic partners to maximize coverage, support communication efforts in different countries and regions, and lead branding initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the production process for reports in collaboration with a Communications Officer and the Senior Research Manager.
About You
You are a skilled storyteller capable of effectively communicating the innovative work of the WWH. With excellent strategic and interpersonal skills, you have experience collaborating with partners globally and writing articles and website copy. You possess discerning editorial judgement and thrive in fast-paced and demanding environments. Your project management and delivery skills are top-notch. Relevant work experience and a demonstrated ability to use social media in a professional communications capacity are essential.
